Recruitment & placement agency in Bengaluru (Bangalore)
The plain version first: AxureOne has no office in Bengaluru. We are headquartered in Ahmedabad and recruit for Bengaluru roles from there — sourcing, screening and interview scheduling run remotely, and the final rounds happen with you, in your office or on video.
Few markets need less introduction. JLL recorded 24.1 million sq ft of gross office leasing in Bengaluru in 2025, an all-time high for the city and 29% of JLL's national total. Zinnov counts more than 880 global capability centres here, and says the city took roughly one in three of the new GCCs India added in FY24.
That density is the hiring story in both directions. Qualified engineers are rarely the scarce thing in this city; a candidate who actually turns up on day one is. Between offer and joining sit a contractual notice period, a likely counter-offer and a commute that TomTom clocked at 36 minutes 9 seconds per 10 km in 2025.
What hires here
The sectors actually doing the hiring in Bengaluru.
IT services & software exports
The services majors are run from here — Infosys from Electronic City, Wipro from Sarjapur Road — and STPI's Bengaluru jurisdiction, which covers Karnataka, reported software exports of about ₹4,53,593 crore in FY2024-25. Naukri JobSpeak shows IT-software hiring down 4% year on year nationally in September 2026, so services demand here is replacement and skill-mix change rather than headcount growth.
Global capability centres
JLL reports GCCs took 37.7% of all Indian office leasing in 2025, and Karnataka's GCC Policy, released in November 2024, targets 500 more centres statewide and 3.5 lakh jobs by 2029 — a stated target, not delivered headcount. Platform and data engineering, cybersecurity, AI/ML, finance operations and product roles.
Product companies & startups
Startup Genome's Global Startup Ecosystem Report 2026 ranks Bengaluru 15th in the world, down from 14th in 2025, values the ecosystem at about USD 152.8 billion with roughly USD 39 billion of venture funding across 2021–2025, and puts it second in Asia for AI-native startups. Hiring is founder-led and equity-weighted, so the ESOP terms belong in the written offer.
Semiconductor & electronics design
Karnataka is reported to hold about 40% of India's electronic design activity and more than 100 fabless chip-design firms — a state-level characterisation, as reported in January 2026. AMD opened its largest global design centre here in November 2023, planned for about 3,000 engineers; Texas Instruments — the first multinational to open an R&D centre in India, in 1985 — added a 550,000 sq ft product R&D centre in February 2026. RTL, verification, physical design, analog and embedded software.
Aerospace & defence
Invest Karnataka, the state's investment agency, attributes 65% of India's aerospace-related exports and 67% of aircraft and helicopter manufacturing for the defence services to the state — official claims, not independent measurements. HAL is headquartered in Bengaluru, and Boeing's 43-acre, ₹1,600 crore engineering campus near Devanahalli, opened in January 2024, is its largest such investment outside the US.
Biotech & life sciences
The Karnataka BioEconomy Report 2025 values the state's bioeconomy at USD 39.2 billion, about 21% of India's, with Bengaluru Urban contributing roughly 54% of it; it counts 1,451 biotech startups after 218 were added in 2025. Biocon is headquartered in Electronic City. Bioprocess, QC, regulatory, clinical data and bioinformatics roles.
Where it happens
The corridors and estates that matter.
- Outer Ring Road (Silk Board to Hebbal)The office spine. The Outer Ring Road Companies Association has put the IT revenue of firms on this road at about US$22 billion a year, roughly 32% of the city's total. The Blue Line metro along it has been under construction since 2021 and is not yet open, so every ORR commute is still a road commute.
- Bellandur, Marathahalli & Sarjapur RoadThe ORR South-East submarket, which JLL names as a main driver of the city's record Q4 2025 leasing and where vacancy fell most that quarter. Embassy TechVillage (9.7 msf) sits on this stretch, and Wipro's headquarters is on Sarjapur Road. Rent near the corridor is the trade candidates weigh against commute time.
- Whitefield & ITPLInternational Tech Park Bangalore opened in January 1994 as an India–Singapore joint venture and is managed by CapitaLand; tenants have included Oracle, TCS, Société Générale and Mu Sigma. The Purple Line has run to Whitefield (Kadugodi) since March 2023, so the east side is now a metro commute.
- Electronic City (Hosur Road)Set up by KEONICS in 1978 and home to main campuses of Infosys, Wipro, TCS, HCL, Tech Mahindra and Biocon. Its first metro link, the Yellow Line, opened in August 2025 — 19.15 km and 16 stations from RV Road to Bommasandra, with stops named for Infosys and Biocon.
- Manyata Tech Park (Nagawara–Hebbal)Embassy Manyata is 17.2 msf by Embassy REIT's own figure, with publicly listed tenants including Cognizant, IBM, Nokia, Rolls-Royce, Nvidia and Fidelity. The north-ORR commute stays road-only until the Blue Line's KR Puram–Airport phase, also under construction, opens.
- North Bengaluru & Devanahalli (airport belt)The aerospace axis near Kempegowda International Airport: Boeing's engineering campus and the state's hi-tech aerospace and defence park. Invest Karnataka's own acreage figures for the park conflict, so we quote none. Far enough from the south and east that it behaves as its own hiring catchment.

What it pays, and what it takes
Hiring in Bengaluru, honestly.
Pay, directionally
- Indeed India reports an average software engineer salary of ₹10,30,991 a year in Bengaluru from about 3,700 reported salaries, updated 18 October 2026, and puts it 16% above the national average for the title. Self-reported and directional — it says nothing about a particular stack or seniority.
- Payscale's Bangalore data shows an average base salary of roughly ₹10 lakh a year across 19,788 self-reported profiles, updated 11 October 2026. Its employer breakdown is the more useful part: Walmart at about ₹31,35,860 and Cisco at ₹23,86,132 against Accenture at ₹8,78,288. Same city, very different pay tiers.
- Per Numbeo's crowd-sourced figures (2,579 entries from 341 contributors over the past year, updated 20 October 2026), the average monthly net salary in Bangalore is about ₹88,937. A one-bedroom flat rents for about ₹29,720 near the centre against ₹16,691 further out — the gap a relocating candidate sets against commute time.
- We found no public Bengaluru pay dataset with a defensible sample for chip design, aerospace or GCC leadership roles, so we publish no band for them — and would treat anyone's precise figure for those families as an estimate.
Directional bands compiled from the public sources listed below — not an AxureOne survey. Treat them as a starting point, never a quote.
What actually decides a hire here
- Commute filters the shortlist before pay does. TomTom's 2025 index ranks Bengaluru the second most congested city in the world, at 36 minutes 9 seconds per 10 km and about 168 hours a year lost in rush-hour traffic. The metro now serves Whitefield and Electronic City but not yet the ORR or Manyata, whose Blue Line target dates have moved more than once — so where a candidate lives, and how many office days you ask for, belongs in the first screening call.
- An accepted offer is not a joiner. With 880-plus GCCs and the product companies chasing the same experienced engineers, expect a resignation to trigger a counter-offer, and remember that the notice clause in the candidate's appointment letter, not a market convention, sets your earliest start date. Ask for both at screening, and price a buyout before you make the offer.
- Demand is shifting inside tech rather than leaving it. Naukri JobSpeak for September 2026 has Bengaluru white-collar hiring up 4% year on year while IT-software hiring nationally fell 4%, and the report flags AI/ML roles as still growing. Hyderabad grew 9% in the same month — a reminder that your candidates have a second strong market.
- Karnataka itself is steering GCCs beyond the city. Its GCC Policy carries incentives aimed at Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi-Dharwad-Belagavi, Kalaburagi, Tumakuru and Shivamogga. If a role does not genuinely need Bengaluru's depth, one of those is a real alternative rather than a compromise.
